Aleshanee Ettins
Ettins are often moody and disagreeable. They're hard to please, hard to
keep track of, and hard to raise. One of the nicer breeds around are GrendelMunchie's Aleshanee Ettins. Here's what she has to say about them:
According to "The Complete Book of Magical Names" by Phoenix McFarland, Aleshanee is an American Indian name meaning "She plays all the time."
These ettins would rather play with toys than gadgets, are less prone to hitting and crowdedness and rarely complain of boredom (and if they do,
tell them to play with a toy). I've shortened the lifespan to 2.5 hours
for breeding purposes. You can download Limabean and Spinach below -
they are untrained babies - or the .gen file. To use the .gen file, you
will need the EggMaker agent from JayD's Creatures Workshop.

Angry Ettins
Speaking of moody and disagreeable, here are Beni and Byna, a pair of
angry, Angry Ettins. They hit norns. They hit grendels. They hit the hand.
They even hit other ettins. They'll just stand and slap each other to death
if you don't keep tabs on them. They're also very red, and keep their color
all of their lifetimes. They're a mix of many species, including most of the
infamous killer norns, plague, aggressive tribe and revenge ettins, etc.
The download now includes the eggfile and a starter pair. The starter pair are babies in the download, but know their vocabulary, and have been taught to use elevators, vendors, etc. You'll need plague and C3 ettin, hardman norn, and dusky grendel sprites to display them correctly.

Ashura Ettins
Here's the Ettin variation of those annoyingly long-lived little Ashura Norns that everybody loves.. These little guys like hot and brightly lit areas, and will attempt to go up via lift right after hatching. Since the original Ashura genome was modified from Amanora's edit of the Chichi genome, we now also have ettins that have Chichi intelligence and dispositions. The Golden Ashuras are the primary breed, but there are also sprite variants of them (using Civet and Bruin Norn sprites), so the Norn and Ettin versions will match up.
The first download includes a pair of Golden Ashura Ettins and one each of the Bruin Ashura Ettins and Civet Ashura Ettins, all at baby life stage. Egg agents for each breed variant are also included.
Installation: Place the creature files in your My Creatures folder. Place the eggs.agents in your My Agents folder.

Berry Ettins
Bekky and Beo are Berry Ettins. The Berry Ettins are a breed created
by Derk5482. Here is the Berry Ettin Story:
We are the Berry Ettins. Though we were left on Albia when the volcano erupted, somehow we were teleported onto the Shee Starship -Ettins Revenge-. The ship was empty. First we collected as many gadgets as we could
find. Then started looking at the genetic files in the egg layer. Something went horribly wrong! The egg layer started creating all different kinds of Ettins. Guess we connected the wrong gadgets.
Bekky and Beo are gen. 2 Berry Ettins. They are about 5 min. old in the download. They use regular C3 Ettin sprites. Also available is a Derk5482's
original .zip of the Berry Ettin genetics files and egg agents.

Mutant Ettins
Banya and Bago are Mutant Ettins. The Mutant Ettins are another breed
created by Derk5482. Here is the Berry Ettin Story:
The Mutant Ettins were spliced together out of the genetic bits left over
from all the other Ettin and Norn breeds. Their genetics are slightly
unstable, leading to an interesting and quick evolution rate.
The download contains Derk5482's original egg and gen files, and a starter pair
of gen.2 mutant ettins about 5 min. old.

Namoran Ettins
The Namoran Ettins are a genetic breed created to commemorate the CCSF
2006 release of the Aquatilis Pod and Aquatilis Caverna v.2. The Namoran Ettins are amphibious and should be hardy and long-lived. With just a
little bit of instruction they quickly learn how to survive in an aquatic world. They are not prolific breeders until they reach full adulthood,
but they will probably not fill up your ship with ettins, even then. Once impregnated, the females experience a normal pregnancy, and their
mutation rate is set to minimal. They're just a little feisty with each
other, but unlikely to slap other types of creatures much.
Coloration of the Namoran Ettins is fixed throughout their lifetimes,
and unlikely to mutate in later generations. They use a mixture of sea
ettin and aquanorn sprites, so you'll need to have those breeds to see
them correctly. The water eggs agent and the aquanorn swim agent
are necessary for them to function correctly in their environment.
Ben and Barbra are just a couple of minutes old in the download,
but they know their vocabulary and most of what they need to live
in an aquatic world. They were both cloned from the genome using
the DevThing. Like the Aquanorns, they will lose their legs and become entirely aquatic as they mature, though they are still able to breath
and move around pretty well on land.
The download contains genetics files and a starter pair. Place the .gen
and .gno files in your DS/Genetics folder. Ben and Barbra go in the yourMy Creatures folder. Enjoy the ettins, and have a great time at CCSF 2006.

Revenge Ettins

The Revenge Ettins are an angry breed that have developed a strong hatred
of Norns, almost as severe as the Grendels. The anger seems to have started when the Ettins and "The Hand" were fighting over gadgets

Susano Ettins
We're proud to host another great breed by Grendel Man. This time it's the Susano Ettins. Here's an exerpt from the included readme:
These ettins were inspired by the Japanese Storm God
Susano-Wo, who slew the orochi. Like the slayer of the first orochi, these ettins are mostly guppy ettin, but although they are tailess. They are a deep, dark, grey, like a thunderstorm. For the first two stages of their lives, Susano Ettins are peaceful. They play with toys, socialize with
other ettins and norns, etc. But when adolescence comes, grendels make these ettins mad. They will start hunting down grendels at this stage, although your norns and other ettins are completly safe, and in fact, make he susanos
less angry. At youth, the ettins will also kill grendels out
of boredom. If hit, they will hit back. When afraid (Which
is rarely), they will run to your norns and hang around them. In case you did not catch this before, they use the sprites of guppy ettins, although the tails are of normal ettins.
Installion: Put the .agents file into your "My Agents" folder, andthe
Susano Ettins should be in the egg layer.

Colorful Ettins
These colorful ettins were raised in a world without norns. Specimens of many different types of ettin were raised together in a world of their own. About three to four generations in their world breed line, they were moved to my test world to take the intelligence test.
Other than being smart and colorful, I don't know how special they might turn out to be. Download them for your world and find out with me. You'll need ettin, microettin, poodle ettin, astronorn, harlequin norn, protector norn and zebra norn sprites to display them all correctly.
